MSW, RSW | Registered Social Worker | Associate
Jen is a Registered Social Worker with 27 years of experience supporting individuals, youth, and families. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work, focusing on clinical counselling and mental health, from the University of the Fraser Valley. Jen has specialized training in Trauma-Sensitive Practice, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Anti-Oppressive Feminist Practice, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Developmental and Attachment-Informed Parenting Education.
Jen’s path to social work began through personal experiences of loss and hardship, which sparked her early work with youth in the foster care system. As a social worker and advocate, she learned that understanding the relationships and systems shaping a person’s life is just as important as addressing individual challenges. Over time, she has seen that meaningful change happens when people are offered compassion, safety, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.
Throughout her career, Jen has focused on supporting people through life transitions, family dynamics, parenting challenges, perinatal mental health, and the complexities of living with chronic pain or chronic health conditions. She has worked across government, health, and non-profit sectors as a social worker, group facilitator, parent educator, manager, and clinician. Her approach is grounded in the belief that each person is the expert in their own life. Jen’s role is to walk alongside clients, helping them uncover their resilience, strengths, and wisdom, while creating a safe, non-judgmental space to explore, heal, and grow.
Jen offers online sessions. When she’s not supporting clients, you’ll likely find her cheering on her sons at a sports game, staying fit and active outdoors, or enjoying the quiet comfort of a good book.
