Grief & Loss Counselling

Grief can be an overwhelming feeling of distress and despair that typically comes from the experience of a significant loss. While the response to loss is different for everyone, the emotions of guilt, sadness, anger and confusion are usually experienced when experiencing grief. Symptoms such as loss of appetite, poor sleep, fatigue and inability to focus often accompany those emotions, and can feel like a never ending cycle.

Our counsellors work with clients to work through grief, and to develop the resiliency to access the thoughts and emotions associated with grief so that healing can begin. We help clients identify and experience the emotions related to loss, find meaning in the loss, accepting a loss, allowing one’s self to feel the emotions associated with loss and building support structures as you begin to move on in your life.
